Tuesday Thoughts 12-29-09

With only minutes to spare this morning and a few days left of this year, I find myself hard pressed for words.  What can I say of 2009, my year of hope?  My life is not what I anticipated it would be this time last year.  Today is nothing like what I’d imagined and I’m thankful.  I can say that because I’ve found that the unexpected ways of my journey are richer, fuller than I’d hoped.  His leading is truly perfect.

This year began in expectation and ends much the same.  My God is faithful; He is my joy and continues to teach my stubborn, proud little heart to love.  Christ is my righteousness; an eternity of knowing and delighting in Him stretches before me.  From 2009 to 2010, His glorious hope continues.  “Now to Him who is able…”

“I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.  Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” -Ephesians 3:16-21
